I use it to play my Ipod and in lieu of my PC speakers via the line-in port. The lamp also comes with a 1/8" stereo cable (I suppose to use the lamp for PC speakers) and loads of iPod cradle adapters for the nano, 2G, 5G, etc. My only complaint is that there is static when using the headphone jack on this lamp. Not a big deal if you're listening to the music at a normal level, but I have to keep the music low so I can listen for the phone or other ...more

I bought this product back in August of 2008 and it has been very useful. I took it on vacation and I use it at work. It keeps my iPods charged and my HTC Touch too. I would highly recommend it. Check the manufacturer's site to make sure it works with your device before you buy. I did try charging my Playstation 3 Dual Shock 3 controllers on it, but they do not charge.
